Changing Faces gallery

Changing Faces, which opened in October 2008, provides an exciting space for visitors to explore the Museum's archaeological, natural and historical collections.

The gallery charts the history of South Tyneside from the Bronze Age to the twentieth century. It features some of the Museum's most popular items, including William Jobling's gibbet and the model of the St. Hilda, displayed in an exciting and interactive way. Alongside these old favourites are never-before-seen objects and fun activities for visitors of all ages.
