Grey seashell fossil. Fossil shell known as Gryphaea or "Devils' toenails" from an extinct oyster found in the marine bivalve mollusk family. Most originate within the Jurassic bedrock and can date to nearly 200 million years ago. These fossils are commonly found along the North-East England coastline. This was found at Catcote in 1963/64.
