This necklace is made from an acrylic sheet, cut and formed into shapes threaded onto a brass wire. The fractured finish to this metallic colour is similar to that of aged gold. This effect is produced using a technique known as heat transfer printing, a method of fixing dye to a surface using heat. The moulded shapes are also heat fixed.
