Sheep Tobacco Wireless Mast. Andorra the train ran out of track, it was a slow train like something out of a cowboy film. I was using travellers cheques,  Thomas Cook to be precise little realising the trouble they would cause.

Andorra is a principality controlled by the french one year and the spanish the next year. It is custom duties free. Andorra the train approached the principality and came to a halt close to the border, we had to get off the train.

I then started to walk little realising it would last all night. There were goat bells in the mountains and thats all I heard all night. I fell off a cliff during the walk and nearly smashed my ankle. Travelling at night is a difficult business.

Cutting across country as the altitude signs told me I was getting nowhere. Mile after mile the countryside rolled by following the railway lines and the lighthouse in Barcelona.  The dawn broke and I forgot to mention that the nights were cold in Andorra so I had to keep walking to keep warm.

I was wearing a demon shirt and jeans, a customs officer was sighted on the spanish border. The local people refused to cash my travellers cheques and I had run out of pesetas. I caught a train the next day, I had no money because you could either pay when you got on the train or when you got off. The guard was going to throw me off the train as I had no ticket.

A basque paid my fare , he was on holiday with his family. Finally Barcelona approached and I cashed my cheques at the bank and offered to pay the basque back but he refused. So I said give the money to the two kids but he refused again. I forgot to mention that the walk in the mountains I was hallucinating, a sign of mental exhaustion. Anyway I travelled back the Salou and flew back to England the next day.
