Video transcript

I remember the times when daisies were my favourite flowers, they’re all white with a yellow middle. I used to run over and grab them as soon as I spotted them. My mam used to tell me to put them down because they were just weeds but to me they were so pretty and delicate. One day my mam took me to the park to have a picnic. I sat down on the grass and straight away I made a grasp for the daisy. My mam said that she would teach me to make a daisy chain. She said she remembered when her mam taught her how to make a daisy chain. I’d never heard of a daisy chain before, to me it was so exciting. My mam told me to start picking the daisies with the long stalks for her, she then put a little nail hole in each of the stalks and she started threading them together. Once they were all together she tied a tight, neat knot in the end. It made the most beautiful necklace I had ever seen. I knelt forwards and placed it around my neck, I could feel my face light up I was so happy. From then on I always make daisy chains and they remain my favourite flower from that day on until this day now.
