I really enjoyed my recent trip to France. I was inspired by their different ways and the
different things they have there. The country is fascinating and a lot different to my
home town, Hartlepool. I travelled on a ferry, which was exciting, it being my first time.
The attractions in France are the same things as England: Sea Life Centres and theme
parks but the atmosphere is much more friendly. My friends and I were overwhelmed by
the people there. I have many memories from the aquarium, Nausicaa. The creatures
there were extremely different to the U.K.s. I took many photos, as I wanted to the
remember the experience forever.
The next day, we went to a French bakery. The man showed us how to make croissants
and after seeing how much butter went into them, I think one will be enough for now!
We then went to the theme park, Bagatelle. We had to talk in French to the workers
there. My friends and I met some girls, and we taught each other our different
languages. We then walked around the theme park together. I think I enjoyed this day
the most, as I shared my culture with other people. Also, we visited a chocolate factory,
my favourite part of the trip. This was yet another different experience for me and my
friends. French chocolate is so much nicer than English!
My French journey soon had to come to an unfortunate end. My class and I travelled
back to Dover on our ferry. We then got back on our coach preparing for the long
journey home.
