Hello my name is Hannah Conway and I live in Normanby, which is near Middlesbrough. I am ten years old. This is my acrostic poem about Iron and Steel.

I : Ireland is where my family came from. R : Religion is important to our lives O : Opera was what my Great Granddad loved while walking along the black paths of Middlesbrough N : North Yorkshire Moors surrounding us with its beauty

A : Air raids, they tried to stop us from making steel N : Nervous, they might not come home safe D : Dangerous work ahead

S : Steel, what we use for planes, bridges and cars T : The transporter bridge, the icon of Middlesbrough town E : Effort, the men put effort into their work E : Exhausted. They are exhausted after their day of work L : Labour, seven days a week, no work, no pay.
