One of my saddest memories was when my dog Daisy ran away. She was a rottweiler-
colllie. I remember when she used to go outside and catch birds and she wouldn't let go.
She was about one and a half when she ran away.
It all started when my uncle and grandad, when they were decorating the bathroom. I
was at school and my mum was at work. My grandad had let Daisy out in the back
garden. My uncle didn't know this and he accidently left the back gate open. I was on
my way home after school clubs with my friends when I heard my mum shouting. I had
to get close to hear what she was shouting. 'Daisy!'. My heart sank. I couldn't believe
what my mum was saying when we got back home. Then I realised that she had been
gone since 2 o' clock, that means she has been gone for two hours. I was still crying but
my dad got home and said we should go and look but it was no use. We still don't have
Daisy.
After two months we knew we wouldn't get Daisy back so now we have a new dog,
Libby. She is a chihuahua-cross Yorkshire terrier and we are very happy with her. We
still miss Daisy and she will always be in our hearts. We hope she is with a family that
loves her and cares for her.
