Video transcript

Music Pop festival Clacton upon Sea Music Festival 1971

All long hair and hippy ideas, we hired a double bus, 40 of us through London, onto Clacton. By the time we got to the festival the bus held 75 to 80 people, picking up hitchhikers along the way. Going to the festival to see Rod Stewart, Status Quo, T rex, Mark Bolan. The weather was excellent. All long haired scruffy unwashed people of which I was one lasted all weekend. On the way back we went through the fruit growing regions raiding apple orchards and plum trees. By the time I got back home I was off work two days, nackerisation set in. Excellent time was had by all.
