Video transcript

Here I am talking about how my journey started from Bangladesh to Newcastle.

I was about 16 when my father started a new business investing almost all his wealth. As time passes by my father realised this business in making loss and that our property was going in the hand of bank. Our economic condition wasn’t well enough and where we expected things to be better off, instead it was getting even worse.

Two years later I got married and now it’s been 26 years since started a new life, but always the thoughts of my parents being in a bad condition knocked my mind every now and then. There was nothing we could do except for praying to Allah with hope of getting back the old good days. My parents went through a lot and it was very unexpected for everyone when my father passed away.

My husband took this business as a responsibility and in our country it was the time of martial law. Previously for the corruption in our banking system it was really hard to overcome the business problems legally. But later, during the time of martial law, everything got a bit more easier as my husband was an army officer, so this business was given priority. My husband took the challenge to make a new good beginning of this business on which we had no hopes, but he made it possible because he always had that hope which gets him going and taking every chance.

All the bad days come to an end and finally good days started after the bad. Within a year our new business made much profit and almighty gave us so much that today I came here with an investor visa. Sometimes it’s hard to believe the truth, but I guess it was destined to happen and this feeling makes me feel lucky. I am here in Newcastle with my three daughters for their studies to gain a better life.

Now it feels like life is going perfect and everyday I thank Allah for giving me such a life and a life partner and that’s the happy ending of my life.
