On the 5th January 2010 me and my husband, George, went on a cruise around the
world on the Balmoral ship for 4 months. We visited many tourist places, one of them
was Brisbane zoo, Steve Irwin zoo. We saw many animals, my favourite animals
were the koalas. Their fur was so soft and lovely. It was a delight to see them all. We
saw them up the trees cuddling the branches. They sat so still that we weren’t sure if
they were alive until we saw their little chests moving. We also saw the salt water
crocodiles. They were very big and very frightening. The zoo keeper who was
looking after the salt water crocodiles was feeding the crocodile with fish. After they
had done a trick the children were shouting ‘Come on!’ to the crocodile. The
crocodile jumped into the air towards the platform and frightened the life out of the
zoo keeper who jumped back and dropped the fish he was holding in the water./ he
asked the other keepers if they could bring back his fish for the crocodile. All the
other zoo keepers just laughed at him and the audience joined in. It was one of the
highlights of our cruise.
