The sirens went and everything so I went to my Grandma's
and my Grandad's and my mam came to seek me and then
I went to school the next day, stood up in the class and told
all the children that we had been flooded out with water. I
couldn't get over all these frogs leaping along the window
sill, you know, see all the water drains couldn't handle it but
we were never flooded out after that. I lived in that house
from when I was five until I was twenty-two and I left to get
married so that was half a lifetime really. About three, five
inches just flowed and all the mats and that were ruined
because they didn't have carpets them days. It was just like
mats and that. So my mam had to scrub it all out and clean
it but it never came in again and I still like frogs, I've got two
frogs in my flower tub at home. I got the frog instead of the
prince.
