When I was 8 or 9 years old I went on holiday with my family to America. We were in Florida and one day we visited a safari park. We drove around in a jeep where we could see the animals. The land seemed a bit like a desert and the animals were free to wander around.

I saw a hippo and an ostrich. The ostrich started running at the jeep. It tried to bite my head off. Luckily my dad pushed my head down just in time.

Then we went to see some crocodiles in an enclosure.  When a man was feeding them I felt really excited seeing quite a big crocodile.

I like dolphins. Later the next week a woman was teaching a dolphin to come up to see me. I felt the dolphin. It felt gooey like jelly. Then it started making noises. Then the woman was making the dolphin jump through the hoop and it jumped at least 8 foot out of the water.

Then I saw a little cute baby meerkat just standing there looking at the people watching it and the mammy meerkat was jumping up and down like a yoyo.

When the baboons saw the people they all started to run to us but baboons do not like water so they failed badly. Baboons have red bums that look like big tomatoes.

Did u now that kangaroos can’t walk backwards? It’s a true fact and when they are born they are the size off a cherry.

It’s wonderful seeing all these animals coming from all over the world all in just one safari park. I wish I could go back and see them all again.
