Video transcript

On May the 5th, it was the day of the tournament in sport. This was the day that I knew some good things would be put to a test. As I arrived at school, fears started to move around in my body. I knew for sure that I had to win this.

As all of the group walked on the tennis court, the first game got under way, it was me versus Joe. I started off really well until Joe smacked this ball really hard. The only choice I had was to slice it but I already experienced some slice and it hit them in the face.

My position was in that kind of place where it could hit me in the face. It came at me so I sliced it but the ball went over the net and my racket hit me in the face. All my friends were laughing at me but I ignored them so I got up and paced myself. I was able to make it to the final game. The final was me versus Matty and I was really scared because I had faced this boy before and he beat me badly but now this is the time I have to prove to my friends and especially myself. This is the biggest day in my life that I'm going to experience.

The match got underway. I started off really poor but near to the end of the game I picked up the pace of the game. I got to a tie-breaker, it was 10-10. I was serving for the cup. I served, he hit it back then now it was up to me to hit it hard so I did exactly the same. I won the game and I know that I'm going to remember this for the rest of my life.
