Video transcript

I wonder…what would people say if you showed them pictures like these? I remember our fantastic trip to London a month or so back. I was in heaven among the bustling crowds, the rich smells of food and the loud throng of voices. So many scents, so many songs, so many things to catch your eye…

But what really seized my attention was the imaginative, passionate art on display. Y’know what I mean, the impromptu, hilarious things scrawled on brickwork. My brother James was more drawn to the rude words on display, my 3 year old sister was swaying to the tunes of the street musicians and my other sister, well she wasn’t doing anything. She’s a baby! But me, I was captivated! I mean have you seen some of the things on display? Art is always changing and this visit made me realise this. It’s like a train, zooming at light speed along the rails and showing no signs of stopping. I know it’s not to everyone’s taste, but the creativity, thought, passion and even oppression that is channelled into these pictures is unique. I am a very open-minded person and I find this sort of thing better than Da Vinci’s work.

For many reasons, that visit to the humdrum capital of our country was one I will never forget. I ate the most delicious Belgian waffles with cream. I went to the famous Hamleys. I walked through Regents Park at sunset and I saw 'Wicked' at the West End. But more than anything, I realised how creative and intelligent people can be.
