Video transcript

It’s four o’clock. I'm sitting down stairs listening to a group of excitable girls getting ready to go to a Bay City Roller concert and wondering what’s all the fuss about? The noise dies down and they emerge from my sister’s bedroom wearing all the tartan and wrapped in scarves and homemade banners. What a sight as they set off singing their favourite songs. Hope it’s worth it? Its eleven o’clock, hope she comes in soon or I’ll be asleep. Come on sis, its way past my bedtime, tell me what its like. Suddenly the door bursts open, in she comes the smile as big as ever, but with a dreamy, floaty look on her face. Is she star struck? I'm not so sure. Time has rolled on its five years later, I’m big enough now and I’ve got the bug. I’m off to my first concert, I’m really excited but a little scared, well more than a little if I’m honest. Wonder what lies ahead? We arrive at the City Hall, hundreds of equally excited ShowaddyWaddy fans. Will we all get in? Do I still want to go in? The crowd moves along We’re in, the chanting is deafening. Not sure what to do. Sit still enjoy the atmosphere. It quietens down, suddenly flashing lights, the boom of drums. The audience erupts. Brilliant, what a night. Definitely star struck. So that’s the attraction.

I'm loving those 70's flares Trevor.Posted on 09/10/2009 at 09:42:17
